BEHIND THE MASK
The Cape Coral Historical Museum continues its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Cape Coral with a brand new exhibit titled "Behind the Mask – Cape Coral Heroes" which will be on display through early next year. The exhibit will showcase artifacts from the Museum's permanent collection along with personal items and stories of those who have served as first responders through the years. The first eight weeks of the exhibit period will focus on the history of the Cape Coral Fire Department and its members.

HISTORICAL REENACTMENT
The Cape Coral community continues its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Cape Coral with a historical reenactment of signing the proclamation. The City of Cape Coral will have been 50 years since incorporation on August 18, 1970.

The year 2020 holds a special significance for the City of Cape Coral – 50 years since incorporation on August 18, 1970. Our City’s 50th Anniversary is a time to honor its unique history, diverse residents, and those who laid the foundation for incorporation. Join us in celebrating on Saturday, September 5th for a memorable night of fireworks!
